Nevada Passes Online Gambling Bill – There Is A Light!

US Online Gambling Bill News

Nevada approved a bill on the 13th June 2011 which sets them up nicely for being the Hub of online poker in the USA when the Federal Government finally gets around to regulating the industry.

Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval signed 36 bills into law Friday and one was AB258 which was intended to make Nevada a front runner of internet gambling.

The was just one revision on the bill that came after Black Friday on April 15th when the U.S. Justice department handed down indictments on the three major online poker sites.

Originally the bill was designed to prohibit the denying of a Nevada license to online poker sites.

Are the lights out for good at the Cereus Network sites, Absolute Poker and UltimateBet? Those are the rumors flying around after the latest service outage, which seems to be affecting both AP and UB and has stretched for at least a day, worldwide. The two Cereus sites had been limping by with a handful of service employees whose sole purpose seems to have been to try to convince the thought-impaired to deposit a last few dollars onto the site as long as connectivity lasted, but the connectivity issue may just well be the final curtain: Its possible theres no one left to pay the bills, nor is it likely theres any source of liquid funds from which to pay.

The last pathetic flickers from AP and UB included using surviving prop players as shills to convey to others that they were still having their withdrawals processed, and for a time a few of those players were, in dribs and drabs of $250 or $500 every few weeks.

WSOP Winner a Lucky College Drop Out

Pius Heinz is a lucky guy. At age 22 this youngster has just won the World Series of Poker and pocketed $8.72 million. Thats a lot of money, and especially for someone who six months ago wasnt sure which way his life was taking him. Aussies lead the way at World Cup

Australian duo Richard Green and Brendan Jones carded a superb 61 to take a two-shot lead over Ireland and Scotland after the first round of the World Cup in China.

Taking full advantage of the fourballs format, Green and Jones went to the turn in 32 at Mission Hills Resort on Hainan Island before storming home in 29 with two eagles and three birdies.

“We combined very well today,” Green told reporters afterwards. “Brendan obviously started very well and built the momentum.”

He continued: “It helped me progress with my game throughout the round and towards the back nine I was able to contribute a little bit and get the eagle on the par-four 16th.
