11 years later poker pro wants his diamonds back

Steve Zolotow is a well-known face on the poker scene, and with a couple of WSOP gold bracelets, and a mountain of other poker accomplishments since his early days at the Mayfair Club in New York City, he has definitely had some success –as his $1.8 million in career earnings attests to. Now the longtime poker player/NYC club owner is looking for a new revenue stream or more accurately, a lost revenue stream as he attempts to recoup some $900,000 in diamonds that were seized by customs back in 2000.

What now for online poker?

After the huge and meteoric events that have transpired of late regarding Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars and Absolute Poker then the online poker environment is currently going through the biggest environmental shift since the implementation of the UIGEA in Sept 2006.

I said at the time that online poker will survive it and poker on the whole will certainly survive it. The game is just too big and if you make online poker illegal worldwide then the number of private games and casino games will increase. At the end of the day there is now a global worldwide poker playing population who want to play poker and so if you deny them that right down one source then they will just seek out ways to play poker somewhere else.

2011 WSOP Main Event Day 2b – Antonius, Gold, and Racener Among Big Names Strong in Chips

Day 2b of the 2011 WSOP Main Event is currently in its sixth hour and it looks like Ben Lamb is keeping his pace ahead of the rest of the field.

At present, he is sitting around 284k, which is good for 2nd. Kevin Saul is the chip leader at the moment with 324,000.

There are several big names right now over 100k. They are as follows:
